How to make a ham and cheese sandwich with pickles?
Place the pan on a medium-hot stovetop. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the pan. Spread the olive oil evenly throughout the pan.

Take the two-sandwich bread slices and place them in a heated pan with oil. Bake the bread for about 6 minutes on medium heat until both sides of the bread are slightly browned. Cook for 3 minutes on each side, but be careful not to burn the bread.
Take six small pickles and place them on a cutting board. Cut the pickled cucumbers into small slices and add them to the container that we will use for the sandwich filling.

Add one tablespoon of mayonnaise to the container with the gherkins and mix well.
Sprinkle some freshly ground black pepper into the container with the pickles.
Meanwhile, when one side of the sandwich bread is toasted enough, turn both slices of bread over and place one slice of cheddar cheese on one of the slices of bread.

Cover the pan with a lid and fry for another 3 minutes, until the cheese melts a little and browns the second half of the bread slices.
After three minutes, remove both slices of bread from the pan.

Spoon a layer of sandwich filling with pickles and mayonnaise on a slice of bread (without cheese). The thickness of the filling should be equal to the thickness of the bread slice.
Place two thin slices of ham on top of the filling and cover them with another slice of bread (with cheddar cheese). Cut the sandwich in half and enjoy!

How long are ham and cheese sandwiches with pickles good for?
Sandwiches with ham, cheese and pickles, if not kept in the refrigerator, should be eaten the same day. If you made sandwiches in the morning and didn't eat them all, try to eat them by the evening.
Keep ham and cheese with pickles sandwiches wrapped in foil or in an airtight bag outside of the refrigerator.
How long will a ham and cheese sandwich last in the fridge?
If you keep ham and cheese sandwiches with pickles in the refrigerator, it is best to eat them at least 2-3 days after making them. In the refrigerator, where the temperature does not reach 5 degrees Celsius, sandwiches last longer than when kept at room temperature.
Wrap the sandwiches in foil or place them in an airtight container or plastic bag when refrigerating the puree. It would be great if the sandwiches stored in the refrigerator did not come into contact with the air. Then you will be sure that you are eating a perfect sandwich.
Well, we still recommend making as many sandwiches as you can and want to eat at once. Then you will definitely eat the freshest and tastiest sandwiches.
How can you tell if ham and cheese are bad?
If you keep sandwiches at room temperature or in the refrigerator and you notice that they have started to emit an unpleasant smell, become moist, or their texture has changed, then we do not recommend eating them.
A sandwich that is fresh and suitable for eating should be dry and smell pleasant. Therefore, be careful and eat only when you are sure that the sandwich has not gone bad.
