Take one medium-sized cucumber. Wash the cucumber under hot water and then rinse it under cold water. Place the rinsed cucumber on a cutting board. Cut off both ends of the cucumber, which may be slightly bitter. Partially peel the cucumber. A cucumber that has not been completely peeled will add more colour to the salad, making it look more attractive and tastier.

Once the cucumber has been peeled, start slicing. Place the sliced cucumber in the salad bowl.

Take tomatoes of different colours and sizes, wash them well under hot water, then rinse them under cold water. place all the tomatoes on a cutting board. For the Greek salad recipe, we will use a medium sized three red tomatoes, one larger yellow tomato and 8 small sweet tomatoes.

Cut the yellow tomato into four pieces. Cut all the other tomatoes in half. Place the sliced tomatoes in a salad bowl.

Take one large handful of pitted pickled red olives. Cut the olives in half and add them to the salad bowl.

Take one red onion. Peel, wash and cut the onion in half. Slice half of the red onion into slices. Place the sliced onion slices in a separate bowl.

Add 1 cup of water to the bowl with the red onion slices so that it completely covers the red onions.

Also add one tablespoon of vinegar to the bowl with the onions.

Let the onions stand in the water and vinegar for at least five minutes. The onions will lose their intense flavour while they are in the vinegar water. We want the onions in the salad to have a mild flavour and to give the right texture to the salad.
After the onions have been in the vinegar water, drain them and place them in a salad bowl.

Add 2 tablespoons of wine vinegar to the salad bowl.

Also add two tablespoons of pure olive oil to the salad bowl. We recommend that you choose Greek olive oil, which will be of really high quality.

Sprinkle the salad generously with black pepper.

Add half a teaspoon of salt to the salad as well

Take one medium sized slice of feta cheese. Break the feta cheese into small pieces with your fingers and place in a salad bowl.

When you put the feta cheese in the salad bowl, mix the salad well. Taste for salt.
